How can I use ImageMagick on my Web site?

ImageMagick is not a standalone graphics manipulation program like Photoshop or PaintShop Pro. Instead, you access ImageMagick's features through an existing Web application (like Serendipity or Coppermine), or through your own PHP or Perl scripts.

To use it, you need to know our ImageMagick "convert path," which depends on the kind of hosting account you have (more info).

Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel)

Classic Hosting

ImageMagick 5

/usr/bin

ImageMagick 6

/usr/local/bin

Web Hosting

ImageMagick 6

/usr/bin

Note: ImageMagick5 is not available on Web Hosting accounts.

Linux (cPanel)

ImageMagick 5

/usr/bin/

ImageMagick 6

/usr/bin/convert

Managed WordPress

ImageMagick 6

/usr/bin/convert

Note: ImageMagick5 is not available on Managed WordPress accounts.

Note: Plesk shared hosting accounts do not support ImageMagick.
