Am I eligible for a 1099-NEC form?

GoDaddy is required to provide a 1099-NEC form for the current tax year when specific federal or state requirements are met. These requirements may change from year to year, so you may receive a 1099-NEC form one year, but not the next.

  • Received US$600 or more in payouts from GoDaddy in the previous year
Note: In 2026, the payout threshold will increase to US$2000 or more.
  • A W-9 form was completed during the Payee setup process with a qualifying tax classification
    • Individual/Sole Proprietor/Single-member LLC
    • Partnership
    • LLC-P
    • Trust/Estate

Corporations, including LLC-S and LLC-C, are not qualifying classifications.

How many 1099-NEC forms will I receive?

You may receive multiple 1099-NEC forms in a calendar year. Eligibility is based on reportable payouts across all GoDaddy products and accounts. You’ll receive a separate 1099-NEC form for each product and each account that contributes to the payout threshold.

For example, if Basic Reseller and CashParking® are in the same GoDaddy account and the minimum payout is met for both products, you'll receive two separate 1099-NEC forms. If two separate GoDaddy accounts have CashParking® and the minimum payout is met in both accounts, you'll receive two separate 1099-NEC forms.

Note: All payments received through PayPal are included when calculating the gross amount of reportable payment transactions. You may receive a separate 1099-NEC form directly from PayPal.

How will I receive my 1099-NEC form?

GoDaddy will send 1099-NEC forms to the mailing address in the associated Payee account by the end of January of the current calendar year. Verify your Payee account details by the end of December prior. You can also download tax forms in your GoDaddy account.
